Appointments can be made by telephone or in person. Routine appointments with the doctor or nurse will usually be available within two working days. You have the right to see a particular doctor, but you may have to wait longer for an appointment.  We aim to see all patients within twenty minutes of their appointment time. Reception staff will inform you upon arrival if there is likely to be a longer wait.

Following  a National Government initiative from 1st September 2018 extra appointments will be offered across the whole of East Staffordshire, including evening and weekend appointments. Additionally a new on line digital service will be available on Sunday mornings where appointments will be offered with a GP via the Q Doctor App. Posters will be available in the surgery shortly; please click on this link for further details

All practices across East Staffordshire are participating in this extended access. For further information please contact the surgery reception.

Urgent Appointments

These will be given the same day and we will always endeavour to see young children as soon as possible.

Appointment Availability

Peel Croft Surgery provides routine surgeries every day from Monday to Friday, except Friday afternoons. On Friday afternoon, we offer an emergency on-call service only.

The surgery is closed on Saturday and Sunday, and in case of emergency, please telephone Staffordshire Doctors, our Out of Hourse Service on 111

Appointment Lengths

The allocated length of an appointment is 10 minutes. However, if you think you will need more than 10 minutes please ask for a longer appointment. Our receptionists are there to help and will do their best to assist you in obtaining the most benefit from the appointment system. If you need to bring your children with you into the consultation we would remind you that you are still responsible for their behaviour. The doctor or nurse may stop the consultation and ask you to re-book if children become unruly.  If you require more than one member of the family to see the doctor or nurse, please inform the receptionist. One appointment is for one person only.

Please ask reception staff what dates and times are available.
