• • RepeatWhen the doctor has recommended that your treatment may be repeated, the preferred method is that the request be sent with a stamped, self-addressed envelope so that the prescription can be posted back to you. Telephone requests will only be accepted for three items or less, between 11.30am and 3.30pm. A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for repeat prescriptions, except in cases of extreme urgency. The prescriptions are usually signed the following morning after surgery so that the doctors are not constantly being interrupted to sign prescriptions. Repeat prescriptions are not written on Saturday mornings. You will be required to see the Doctor periodically to check that your medication is having the desired effect.
